The recent cold wave that has started on Jan 20 ended as temperatures plunged to sub-zero levels in Kuwait and KSA. Temperatures are expected to rise to mid 20s during the next few days especially between Jan 27 and Jan 29. A slight fall in temperature is expected by early next week. Colder air will start impacting the Arabian Peninsulua starting late Friday Jan 20th, as a surface high pressure trails behind an upper low and its associated cold front over southwest Asia. Three weather parameters to highlight: Colder Air, Winds, and Rain. Some rain showers and scaterred thunderstorms are affecting central and Eastern Saudi Arabia along the Arabian Gulf. This is in response to the formation of frontal boundary that will later convert into a weak cold front as a mid-upper low moves from the Midetteranean. It will generate some thundershowers while it slowly drifts southeastward and impact other Saudi Arabia cities along the Arabian Gulf coastlines.
