February 17th & 18th:
Gusty southerly winds will produce dusty and sandy conditions over much of the UAE with very warm weather. Uncomfortable weather conditions to develop as surface dry low forms over Arabia. Winds will be stronger at day especially on Friday 17th with reduced horizontal visibility due to sandy conditions. In contrast, the east coast will be calmer, not as dusty, and cooler, with some clouds building over mountains that could bring some isolated showers. Rough sea over Arabian Gulf.
A visible satellite photo of the UAE back on Feb 29, 2009 when strong southerly winds produced a dust storm. Conditions on Feb 17, 2002 seem to have the potential to bring similar weather outcomes!

The east coast of the UAE enjoyed its local factor of mountains, which helped southeasterly winds condense into clouds which brought some light showers and drizzle. Winds hitting the mountains rise up and condense into clouds.
February 20th & 21th:
Fresh northwesterly and cooler winds are expected to blow, bringing temperatures down to seasonal averages. Nice weather over coastal areas. Dusty over interior areas. Rough sea over Arabian Gulf.

These southerly winds are quite uncomfortable. Hope they end soon.
Even in KSA at red sea.. its crazily windy rite now and its not even evening, I think the wind will increase even more when we come close to sunset over here..

Tomorrow should be dusty as well, but mainly during the day. By night time it will be calmer, but it will be cleaner by Sunday when westerly winds arrive.
Yes very uncomfortable, I thought I missed hearing it but I feel the complete opposite right now. Can’t wait for the westerly winds to arrive.

Yes it looks like rain will visit KSA this weekend, some coastal areas of the red sea (maybe near Yanbu) and eastern KSA near Kuwait and Arabian Gulf.
March mostly brings rain to KSA.
