A trough is resulting in rain and thunderstorms across the middle part of the Arabian Gulf, Southern Iran, parts of Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain (maybe Qatar?). Sunday there will be light to moderate rain accumulation over those countries. But From Monday Dec 7th to Tuesday Dec 8th, Southern Iran near the gulf is going to get an incredibale amount of rain around 100mm per day if not more. That is really a lot. This is exceptionally dangerous weather there.

Notice in the above GFS forecasts how extreme rainfall will be over Southern Iran. God knows if this forecast is going to materializes or not.

By Tuesday this weather system is going to move eastward and its associated cold front will pass by the UAE, bring temperature down with it. There is a small chance that the cold front result in some rain/tstorms in the UAE. We have to wait and see.

Next in my mind is this weekend potential for disturbed weather in the UAE, Qatar, Oman, and possibly other countries. Stay tuned.
