March to bring significant swings in temperature.
A gusty cold front is expected to cross the Arabian Gulf between Feb 28 and Mar 2. A few showers (with thunder) have affected KSA, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar. This cold front is expected to bring a relief from the prolonged unseasonal heat that affected most of Arabia in late February. Temperaturs have soared to late 30s in the UAE in the last few days with Southerly & dusty winds.
On Mar 2nd, the cold front will bring gusty and cool Westerly winds to the UAE. Winds could reach 60 Km/hr along the coasts of Dubai and Sharjah. High temperatures in the UAE are expected to drop by 15 degrees to early and mid 20s. But before that, a few leftover thunderstorms or showers might hit Northern UAE.
