A few thunderstorms are affecting Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras al Khaymah, the northeast coast, and nearby areas. Unstable conditions to continue during the next 24-48 hours.

On Thursday Nov 27 2008 a strong thunderstorm hit Ras Al Khaymah and the surrounding areas in Northern UAE. There are reports of hail, too.

On Sat Nov 29, 2008, a huge thunderstorm moved over the Arabian Gulf and a big part of the storm dissipated offshore. However, a small thundershower affected parts of Dubai (Bur Dubai). That storm was so huge that it could have wrecked havoc on the Northern areas of the UAE.
