Well, the days of 40′s C and scorching sunshine are finally over (hopefully forever, but that’s a far-fetched dream) and we are only 2 weeks away from the meteorological start of winter. :-)

I’m sure that everyone in the UAE have noticed the milder weather over the last few days. However, days are still warm, maybe pleasantly warm. It will just keep improving.

One surprising piece of weather news is the sudden morning showers in Fujairah, Khorfakan, and other areas in the East coast of the UAE. Click on the link below for the coverage by Al-Ittihad newspaper (Arabic). Click here to read about it from Al-Ittihad newspaper (Arabic).

Now let’s turn our attention to the next weather event. Showers and/or thunderstorms are likely to spread along the central Arabian Gulf and Southern Iran on Saturday Nov 15th, 2008. The showers (maybe thundery) could extend to the West and North Coast of the UAE by Sunday.
