Well, the first plunge of the jet stream in Southwest Asia is due to happen from Thursday to Monday. An upper 500mb low will form as well, giving way to rainfall over Western Iran. This seems to be the first cold front of the season. Hopefully it will be a sign for a winter that is more active.

During autumn our summer thunderstorms usually form more to the north near Masafi and not only near Al Ain. On Sep 5th, 2009, heavy thunderstoms hit Fujairah and Kalbaa.
