Record snow covers UAE Jees mountain in Rak
Well, the unusually low freezing level resulted in snow falling on the top of Jees mountain (1,737m) in Ras Al Khaymah in northernmost UAE. This is not the 1st time it snows there, but this is the heaviest snow cover ever recorded. Snow accumulations of 20cm have been reported as temperature dipped to -3c on Friday night and struggled to go above 1c on Saturday.
